Therapy for LDS Women

Compassionate, non-judgemental, and experienced counseling for women who were raised in, belong to, are leaving or have left the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints

Inclusive and accepting counseling for LDS women

You sang “I am a Child of God” in Primary, memorized the 13 Articles of Faith, and know the Young Women’s Values by heart. Whether you are still active, questioning, or have left the Church, all of this has impacted who you are, how you see yourself, and how you related to others.

When anxiety, grief, or uncertainty rise up, you want someone you can talk to who understands the pressure, the joy, and the complexity of being raised Mormon.

You want a therapist who knows what it means to be LDS

You don’t necessarily want to run into your therapist at church, but you want a therapist who you can talk to about LDS life and beliefs without having to explain yourself. You want someone who can offer you perspectives that can support and challenge your own faith journey. You want someone who will accept you as you are, and support your spiritual and emotional growth. You want a therapist who grew up in the LDS church so they “get it.”

Hi! I’m Katie and I can help

I was raised in the LDS church and know first hand the pressures and joys of being a Mormon. My own faith journey has led me away from the church, but my family and many of my beliefs keep me close and compassionate for women seeking counseling or psychotherapy from someone who understands what it means to be LDS and a woman.

I’m not here to change your mind or convince you to stay in church, leave the church, or decide what you do or don’t believe about religious topics. I hope to be an open-minded and accepting space where you can share your struggles, fears, worries, and hopes knowing that you will not be judged by me, and you can share openly to heal, grow, and create your own plan for life that supports your personal values, beliefs, and priorities.

If you are questioning or have left the church, I offer healing space for you to share your personal experience and support you in living your truth. If you feel angry, hurt, betrayed or abandoned, you can work through those feelings with me in a safe supported space.

I offer compassionate and informed care for leaving the church and those who have left. I provide supportive tools and resources that are needed when making such a big life change. I support you in redefining your identity outside of the LDS faith.

You deserve to feel accepted wherever you are on your faith journey.
